Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Dumped Rubbish

A large load of bagged household/retail refuse was dumped on the seaward side opposite 24/26 Curlew Bay Road approx. 10 days ago. It has now been pushed over the edge, bags are split, fruit/vegetable matter is spilling out and rotting. There is now a noticeable odour and the potential for rats. This street is family occupied and I now consider this dumped rubbish a health hazard.

Updates

The rodney council been told 3 months ago about a large dumping of rubbish over a green fence on Ozone road, near number 91 house, Stanmore Bay. It is close to the river and bush. They say next week, then another or tomorrow. I' ring them every day and hung on the phone they make me believe this time it's to be picked up, but no still there. I go in person to the council and they said this week but now its 20/07/2018 and it''s still there! There has been more dumped beside it now. I had also mention it to them 10 years ago but they didn't clear the papers up then. It now has metal objects like a small oven, cans, plastic, bottles you name it its there! I gave up ring them every day but I still check if it has been cleared but NO IT IS STILL THERE!
