This weekend I was alarmed at the number of people, particularly children, swimming around the boat ramp.
There were lots of boats using the ramp and the swimmers seemed unconcerned about the risk to themselves. Even when asked nicely to move to a safer place they ignore us.
Spinning boat propellers and body parts do not go well together - potential for serious boday harm neither do large boats and bodies - potential for crushing injuries between boat & dock.
We usually use the ramp facilities at Acacia Bay which are far superior and far more effective in separating swimmers & boat users.
There needs to be clear boating and swimming zones to keep everyone safe in Mangakino !!!
Can this issue please be looked into ASAP as it is a disaster waiting to happen :(
