Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Otaki Street Steps Overgrown with Weeds

The Otaki Street Steps between Otaki Street and Dallas Court/Madison Place are grossly overgrown with weeds and other plant life at present. They do not appear to have been maintained for months. The overgrown plants constitute a tripping hazard that could lead to a serious injury one day. The path between the top of the steps and Madison Place is also quite overgrown. Many thanks in advance for sorting this out.

Updates

This has still not been sorted. I have now taken a photo to show how bad the issue is, but not sure whether I can upload it here. (I think I could with the initial report, but can't find a way to upload with the update.)
Happy to say that this has now been sorted. The Otaki Street steps and footpath between the steps and Madison Place are now looking much tidier. Thank you, Wellington City Council, for sorting this.
