Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

There used to be street lighting on Neesons Way, however it seems like the strong wind and rain recently have affected the wirings and all street lights are off.

Updates

Street Lights not working 96A Victoria Rd, Devonport - 3 days.
Good Morning, Please update the situation on street lighting for Koromiko Street, New Lynn? At night, zero lighting in our street results in increased risk for car acccidents when I turn out of my driveway as I can't see parked vehicles. No lighting also enhances the risk for our incredibly high car break-in statistics and burglaries for our street. We have recently had prowlers and this has been fully documented with the NZ Police. I also notice that we have absolutely minimal street lighting where Koromiko Street intercepts Miro Street and Lynnwood Street carries through to Great North Road (past Kelston School for the Deaf). Hence hazardous for pedestrians health & safety. Your earliest response would be appreciated. Kind regards, Janette Dromgool
