Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Lately, every time a bus or heavy truck go by my house rattles like there is a small earthquake. I am situated along Glengarry Road, Glen Eden, Watakere and my house is closer to the road than most houses along the road, although this rattling has only been bad the last 3 or so years.

Updates

Hi there, recently I reported an issue with my house vilently shaking whenever a large truck or bus goes by. Auckland Transport finally got hold of me and reported that they were unable to find any immediate problem with the road outside my place. I have since enquired of the Glengarry Road Facebook Page as to whether other locals have experienced a similar problem and it appears to be a street wide problem, i.e. not just me. My question is, what can be done to fix this problem as I worry with all the regular shaking that my poor house will eventually start moving off it's foundations or start cracking at least? I have saved a screen shot of the other complaints from Glengarry Road residents with the same problem for whoever is interested.
