Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

I live in pukeko St, it is a shortcut for vehicles detouring off a state highway, and we have several primary schools in our neighbourhood. We have frequent speeding vehicles going down our street, we need a speed camera, police presence of a few judder bars to deter speeding vehicles

People frequently skid up around the corner from Ellicot onto Newcastle Road when it's been raining and often do skids when pulling out of the north end Newcastle road and speed of up south Newcastle Road at times 70 kms plus, it's is very frightening for people walking or people out on their front yards when this occurs. Judder bars are needed on the south Newcastle Road just after you come around the corner from Ellicott road to stop this occuring.
