Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

Motutara Road Muriwai is a road in need of judder bars, in the last two weeks we have had two car accidents one where a vehicle was parked on the road but not visible for the approaching car coming around bend causing injuries, and today we have had a person driving and losing control and crashing his vehicle into a palm tree on the front of our section, previously we have had to put up with vehicles taking the bends to fast one ended up hitting power pole , two have gone through our fence, one rolled going up the hill, horse truck lost control causing horses to be injured, not to mention our local shop and all our driveways being dangerous to get in and out of, we have asked previously to get judder bars the excuse was the horse trucks but they managed to get judder bars down the road where the horse trucks have to drive to get to the horse park, we also have the problem in our village of people racing around the block which is causing all of the residents a lot of stress. The beach is very busy this time of year and we have been hit before by a car crossing the white line while taking the bend further up from us and as the years go on we can only see this getting worse, we have lived with this problem for 25 years and think it is about time this problem is fixed and judder bars would be the best option. Thanks
