Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

The cul-de-sac terminus end has severe recent damage.

This issue has been fixed.

The Water Main in the centre of the cul-de-sac is protruding out of the road. Additionally, in the recent strong winds the lamp-post supporting the Ultra Fast Broadband has snapped the support guy, and it protrudes too.

Updates

Request 1319540 closed at TaupoDC. Hi Bob, following on from our conversation this morning. I have messaged Chorus about the leaning pole, and asked if it could be reinstated, or removed if the cable is redundant. I'm assuming this is an old Telecom asset. Re the street lights that are not working, there is a line fault that the power co owner has be working on for a while now. We have reminded them of this. I will pass your enquiry re truck turning and parking onto another TDC Officer for them to make contact with you. Mark Giddy.
