Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

No streel lighting in areas along Oxford Terrace and Harrison Crest. Car park along this road and it is difficult to see parked cars and house drive ways. Security issues may be a problem with state houses in Harrison Crest that are not occupied.

Updates

Hi.. I'm hoping reporting this ongoing fault through this channel might have nore effect than reporting (again) to W.Electricity. There is a long stretch of Oxford Tce Lower Hutt that doesn't have working street lights. It is from approx Epuni St south to Waterloo Rd overbridge. I reported this to WE last winter and told them there was a ongoing underlying problem. They perhaps do sometimes fix it but it doesn't stay fixed. I have lived in Naenae now for 3 years and each of those winters ( this being the third) the lights on that stretch of road have not functioned to any extent. They have definitely been more off than on. I ride a bike along there and can't see the gutter, there is no shoulder on the road so i'm forced to ride further out then rely on car lights to get my bearings to steer back to the side of the road. Besides bike riding it is just plain dark and i don't think it's good enough that they have not fixed it properly during the last 3 years( or more for all i know) I spoke to the council last year but they can only pass on the info to WE & i rang WE as well. The council said someone else had reported the same thing. Regards, Susan ( Caulfield)
