Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Exmouth street is used as a shortcut bewteen newton and new north road, by cars and trucks. The road is far too narrow for the speeds that that vehicles travel on this road. The road is too narrow for trucks to be using the road as a shorcut. Cars parked on exmouth street frequently have their wing mirrors damaged by passing vehicles. Also many parked vehicles are damaged by other drivers inability to parallel park. This road is a hazard and requires traffice calming measures to slow the traffic. This also road requires measures to reduce damage to parked vehicles. A possible solution could be changing the road to a one way street, and changed the parking to diagonal parking (such as saint benedict st)
