Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Speed Bumps Required Urgently

Many non residents use Zefiro Drive as a shortcut/speed camera avoidance technique. The road is not wide enough to fit two small cars past each other once a vehicle has parked on one side of the road. Many people drive well over the posted speed limit of 50kmph, endangering residents and more importantly children that play on the footpath and roadway. Many animals have been injured and killed on this road due to careless road users. Speed bumps are a way of stopping tradegy before it happens, I personally do not want a child to be injured or killed on my street.
