Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Red arrow does not turn green

The red arrow facing traffic on Lincoln Rd wanting to turn right into Whiteleigh Ave is on however the arrow never turns green. The arrow facing traffic on Lincoln Road wanting to turn right into Barrington Street does turn green. Because the flow on Lincoln Rd is heavy during peak times the right turning lane from Lincoln Rd to get into Whiteleigh Ave backs up and only allows for 2-3 cars to turn right into Whiteleigh per change (usually when the lights are turning from amber to red). This is creating huge frustration and leading to drivers making dangerous decisions to turn right into Whiteleigh because they a frustrated in having to wait anything from 5-15 mins. To make the intersection safer and allow for better flow it seems logical to have the green arrow activated to turn right into Whiteleigh Ave the same time the arrow turns green for those wanting to turn right into Barrington Street (both from Lincoln Rd)
