Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

As a result of the December storm, the gutter and cesspit close to Tuakau and Kitchener Roads intersection is blocked with metal that was washed down the road. The roadway to the hospital (outside the Tuakau Road entrance) also had a large amount of metal deposited. We reported it to the council as cars were losing control as the entered the hospital and an accident was going to happen. As nothing was done, the neighbours got out one evening and cleaned up the entrance. While cleaning up the metal the neighbours discovered Tuakau Road itself has become undermined on the southern side of the hospital entrance. On numerous occasions we have seen vehicles hit the undermined section of the road.
