Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Is this NZTA, DOC or TDC but in any case, the lookout/rest area that many visitors flock to is in disgusting condition, grafitti all over the pavement, rubbish, fouling, etc etc. Same for the one half way up the Waihi Hill. With a month before we see an influx of RWC visitors with a few wanting to view our pristine lake, they will be in for a rude shock. If this is not TDC, could you please pass it along to who's responsible to get the best two spots to view the lake from the southern end cleaned up. Thanks.

Have emailed Opus concerning the service request and they have contacted NZTA for some input. They will have a action plan in a week or so and report back on progress offered. 19/8/2011 Opus and Transit have completed all work. 8/9/2011

Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I'm very impressed with the personal feedback on progress and rapid response to my request. Well done TDC, especially the officer from Turangi who handled this (sorry, I didn't get his name).. Top marks!!!
