FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

No Street lighting provided for certain area.

This issue has been fixed.

There is a dark area around the properties 27 & 29 Tongariro st. There seems to be no light fittings installed. Could we please have a street light installed for security purposes?

Request 1119177 closed at TaupoDC. The area has an adequate lighting on the road for vehicles and pedestrians,and spacing is within the standards.

Typical TaupoDC remedy. No change to dark area. It's good to see our rates going to use.
