Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Right turn from Ponsonby Road to Great North Road leaves cyclists stuck

The green right turn arrow at the traffic lights from Ponsonby Road onto Great North Road is only activated by cars. This means that if you're a cyclist turning right, you won't get a green turning arrow until a car wants to turn right too. As a cyclist you either end up stranded, waiting for a car to arrive to activate the green arrow, or crossing at the pedestrian crossing. Very annoying!
