Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

After wondering why the traffic is suddenly horrendous on K'rd in the evening, I have now noticed a sign on the traffic lights saying 'light phasing changed' - has this been in the last few days/week?? I work on K'rd and have driven to the motorway via this road for the past year with no issues what so ever. The last 2 days have been an absolute nightmare!! It has taken 25mins minimum to get from the K'rd bridge to the M'way onramp, traffic is backed up and at a virtual standstill. I'm wondering/presuming the light change coincides with this?? If it is, im sure the bus drivers are also feeling a bit peeved as they are also caught up in this mahem! If the light phasing has just been changed then I hope there are camera's or something operating to show the effects it has had. Traffic flowed quite freely by all accounts prior to this!

Updates

It is good to see Motorist get the "light phasing changed" signs, which is more than pedestrians got, however Grafton Bridge Traffic did not get anything, which is why I walked across the road at the wrong time thinking the lights had gone faulty on Tuesday - 8th February.
Thanks for the phasing change which allows traffic turning left down Symonds street a free turn not held up by pedestrians. Before only 3-4 cars were getting through at peak time, now it's almost the whole queue. As a pedestrian it's also nice to have a dedicated pedestrian crossing time, you're not in danger of being run over any more (I live locally and walk or drive through here almost every day)
