Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Traffic lights short phasing and short area to merge causing traffic issues

The traffic lights at Chapel Road and Kilkenny Drive are short phasing causing traffic delays. There is also a major issue after this intersection where two lanes merge into one within a space of about 20 metres. This causes massive traffic issues. This not a long enough period to merge as you just cross the intersection and are faced with cars almost colliding due to having to merge suddenly. Horrendous design and completely unsafe.

I agree - this is horrendous. I'm surprised there hasn't been multiple accidents.
