Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

The Culvert has been blocked now for days since the big downpour. The upstream side of the culvert was badly blocked and the council was informed about it many times before it became an issue again on 17 July when we had a high amount of rain. The culvert blocked quickly and caused the creek to overflow the road damaging the tarseal, depositing big amounts of silt on the road and causing the the water to back flow through our garage as well as gouging out the next doors neighbors driveway. After several attempts to get the council to have a look at it through phone calls and posting it on their web site nothing has been done and when the riverside slip was cleaned up and the contractors were approached by me they told me that AA call to council would be all that's needed to get them to come over with their front end loader to at least remove the silt and mud from the ro. I Rang imidiatly yet nothing happend. It is frustrating to deal with the council people in charge since there is a wide spread complacency when it comes to issues of concern even when road safety is at issue.
