Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

  • Pot holes & broken up bits of road- South Eyre Road
This piece of roading has broken away & is getting worse by the day. It was repaired & patched at the beginning of this year but didnt last long before it started falling apart. A vehicle hit the pot hole yesterday & had to correct itself back to its side of the road as it threw it across the middle line, its only a matter of time before this happens again & collides with a vehicle coming the other way.
  • Blown Street Light Bulb
Blown light on street which makes the area very dark. Has been blown for 2 or 3 days.
  • large mound in road
End of chipseal zone, where the road changes to bitumen for the overpass on SH1, there is a mound which has formed at the changeover between road surfaces which may cause damage to vehicles suspension. Someone has nicely marked the road surface with "fix this" so its easy to spot when travelling towards the bridge.
