Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

At No 20 Sandown Ave the berm has had another piece of debri added to it. The council make the laws and then they go and break them just as quick. The law states that the berm is not to be tampered with. But in this casethis person has been given council permission to put posts , rope and plastic shopping bags all over it. Not sure if he is trying to turn Sandown Ave into a slum area or what? So it looks like we can all cover our berm with whatever.

Updates

As the owners of 20 Sandown Ave paid for their concrete berm on Council land ($2700), they have a right to protect their investment. The man writing these letters of complaints, lacks integrity, won't put his own name forward and does nothing to improve the neighbourhood. Other neighbours besides 20 Sandown Ave are protecting their berms with post and bamboo sticks and looking after their berms, mowing and weeding and re grassing, with council permission. This person complaining needs to mature a little, and stop harassing (2-3 years!!!!) the good people of Sandown Ave Himatangi Beach. When a large Kenworth truck and trailer unit is driven over our New concrete and freshly grassed berms, with little respect for other peoples property, the person complaining needs to get a life.
