Too small for cars but they always try to park

We have a short curb area between our driveway & our neighbour(approx 1.5m). We continually have cars parking there either blocking access to our drive or our neighbours, thinking they fit. We believe there should be yellow lines painted to eliminate people parking there altogether as we continually have to point out they don't fit.
