Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

The pedestrian crossing on St John's Rd near the corner of Ipswich is very dangerous. The crossing is just to the left of Ipswich and often cars turning left are too busy watching the traffic to notice people waiting at the crossing. I have nearly been hit twice here -once while pushing a pram. I have also seen at least one accident, where a car has suddenly stopped upon noticing the crossing, only to be back-ended. Is it possible to move this further down the street so it is a bit safer?

Updates

This is my second request for action to be taken on the pedestrian Island in the Middle of Golf Road Titirangi by 124 Golf Road. The yellow safety bar was knocked over about six weeks ago and after my previous report two cones were placed on the Island. Five weeks later nothing has been done to replace the safety bar. As mentioned before, This crossing is used by many children en route to Green Bay High School plus the fact that because Golf Road is a major route the damaged crossing is very unsightly and not in keeping with the area.
