Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Last year 2 Degrees replaced a well functioning streetlight with their own post with cell tower antenna attached. The new light hasn't worked for months and months. Neighbours report a couple of strange blue glows in the middle of the night a couple of months ago but not a flicker since then. Just darkness for the surrounding area and the bus stop diagonally opposite. Now we have had vandals scratching the glass in the bus shelter as they know they can't be seen at night. 2 degrees replaced this lamp post. Between Ak Council and 2 degrees can't someone get it sorted?
