FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Broken street light

This issue has been fixed.

Sent to Taupo District Council 3 hours later.

The street light at this location has had a faulty ballast for at least the last 4 month causing it to turn on and off consistantly. It has now copmpletely shut down and is not operational.I suggest you review the contract of the company that is responsible for maintaining street lights and get them, or a new contractor to fix the problem.

Request 1121969 closed at TaupoDC. Replace 70w lamp on 14/09/11, light is now working properly
