Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

This is a 50km area, but cars regularly travel between 70-80km p.h. We have had 2 deaths in the last week alone in this area and I've had enough. We urgently need A STRATEGIC approach to reduce DEATHS on this whole road from Whitford to Umupuia including: major signage, traffic calming devices including speed bumps and pedestrian islands, road markings with speed limits, and more signage - really big ones that stick out on the road like in the approach to Ngatea. I'm still haunted by the screams coming from the Omana corner last year when another young person died. PLEASE DO SOMETHING NOW!!!!!!!!!
