Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

There are 3 pohutukawa trees on the GDC road reserve that need removing! They have been trimmed on the Williamson road side to allow for vehicle access and have been trimmed on the other side for the powerlines. They prevent the sun from reaching my adjoining property from now on and deposit leaves etc on my roof, hence water supply. I recently had Arborcare remove a karaka tree from my place and the cost of doing so suggests that it would be better for GDC to remove these trees instead of "trimming"
