The western end of Karangahape Road got repaved and a few days later more broken glass on it. In my opinion Auckland city street cleaners should get free eye examinations, I have to pay for mine every two years and I do not have any trouble spotting broken glass around Auckland streets. Yes every day on my way to work I spot broken glass. I pick up broken glass and a few days later it back again. Goodness know how it gets there, if it is school children who are putting down broken glass, maybe Auckland city council could try to cure the problem by let the nearby schools know of the worse affected areas and the school teachers could get their students to write a essay on “The dangers of broken glass around our community” To make life easy for the teachers I thinking of starting a new web site Just before Auckland super city came to be, I wrote in for the weekly newsletter if they could encourage readers to pick up glass bottles before it turns into a thousand small pieces of glass. But it seems some people suffer great pain from doing simple tasks. For my trade I have to do First aid & safe working practice, I think it is about time more people should do something similar if they are “two” lazy to put a couple of lines in a newsletter, then the worse that could happen is our ACC levy might come down.
