Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Give way to the right rule not working

The give way to the right rule does not work well AT ALL on this west stretch of Latimer Square. To take the right of way on the north end as a cyclist is inviting certain death (or a prang for a driver) and at the south intersection with hereford everyone wants to give way to each other. Please could the council consider putting Give Way signs at either end of this minor street, giving priority to collector roads Hereford and Gloucester. I dread biking this bit of road and have had several near misses and abuse from drivers
