Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Dangerous unmowed verge, traffic hazzard

The island/verge on the corner of Paerata and Glenbrook roads still remains uncut. Low vehicles are now obstructed from seeing oncoming traffic in the Auckland bound merge lane onto Paerata Road. Someone is going to be badly hurt if this is not attended to, and several people are complaining about it on the local facebook page now.

A member of the public has taken their weedeater and cleared this particular traffic hazard. Come on Auckland Council, you should have seen to this.
