Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

often stock trucks are unaware of the turning bay further down the road and do U-turns on the corner by 465 Arataki Rd. Central Transport Ltd did so last week in the wet and dug up the surface. A sign notifying drivers of the turn around bay would surely stop this problem from regular occurance.

Request 1710806 closed at TaupoDC. Hi Jo. Thanks for your message. Those truckers know the road network better than us. I think that the case you described, they would prefer to turn there rather than driving an extra 7-800m to the road-end turn-around and back again. Regards, Mark.
