Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

A lot of people and especially kids are crossing the Deep Creek Road (105) to get to Waiake beach. A lot of vehicles are speeding here as the road is straight and steep. This is an accident waiting to happen. I have personally witnessed a few close calls. Currently there is no marked pedestrian crossing or a traffic light here. The closest pedestrian crossing is in front of Torbay School which is far. Please install traffic lights or at least a zebra crossing before we have an accident.
