Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Trailer carrying advertisement parked in our parking bay for months

A trailer with an advertisement for house cleaning has been parked in our parking bay for at least four months. It never moves, it's not a legitimately parked resident vehicle, and, given that it's parked right in the middle of the parking bay close to a sharp bend, it causes a hazard for legitimate residents who want to park. On-street parking is not a form of permanent free outdoor advertising is it?
