Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

Speed bump urgently required due to cars speeding

Please consider urgently installing the speed bump on Fernhill Way between houses No.92 and No.96 next to the reserve, before anyone gets seriously hurt. There is a reserve on both sides of the road and the road is sloping down from both directions. I live on this street since 2008 and daily witness cars speeding down in both directions; quite a few of them are accelerating on purpose. Sometimes it is impossible to cross the road for a few minutes because the cars are going too fast. There's a sign "Look out for Children" installed before the reserve on one side of the road but it is being constantly ignored. Children often play in the reserve and cross the road which is very dangerous with some cars doing well over 60ks an hour. For example, the speed bumps are installed on the opposite side of the reserve, on Medallion Drive. Why can not the same be done on Fernhill Way? We have a lot of traffic going through the street. Also with Sohlue Place now settled with people, the intersection of Sohlue Place and Fernhill Way is a very dangerous place with cars speeding along Fernhill Way. Furthermore, an additional street light is required, in the same place where the speed bump needs to be, as this is a very dark place on the street. Thank you.
