FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

Misuse of Flush Medium / Concrete traffic island

The continued misuse of the flush medium as a defacto traffic lane has caused another accident as somebody has yet again been T boned by a right turning car attempting to turn out of Vancouver Ave. The car crashed into the property across the road and drove into the fence. Lucky no one was killed while standing on the corner in front of the fence. Its not only individual cars but also Buses which travel at excessive speeds up the flush medium hoping to make the lights for the right turn onto Mt Albert Road. Its become dangerous during busy times to try and enter the traffic from our property without the fear of being hit by a vehicle traveling up the flush medium. What is needed is a concrete traffic island before Vancouver Ave and Marne Rd intersection to stop people doing this. Another concrete traffic island would also be useful before Taumata Road intersection with Sandringham Road.
