FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Faulty Street Lights

Tonight as I walked my usual route I experienced TWO street lights that went out. the first was just past the Queen Street/ Kitchener Road intersection west of the Hill Superete. The second was outside 182 Kitchener Rd opposite the end of Wellington St., Thank you.

Sorry, forgot to mention the light outside 182 came back on after a short time.

I noticed last night that the light outside 196 Kitchener Road has been fixed, that's great but the one opposite Willis Ave. is still cycling, going out & back on.
