Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Traffic lights when turning from Chapel rd into Ti Rakau Dr are short phasing. Traffic queues in the morning right back to the roundabout waiting to go through the lights now.

Updates

The lights at Botany Town Centre and Chapel Road (opposite the Eastview Baptist Church & Botany Downs Secondary College) are short phasing and only allowing 4 or 5 cars through each phase. This is heading towards Howick. The traffic on the other side of the road (heading towards Ormiston/Manukau) is green for much longer. This is causing considerable traffic buildup and delays EVERY night. The lights are also short phasing at the intersection of Maghera Drive/Chapel Road, but it is clogged more because of the lights by the Church/School entering into the town centre. Something needs to be done.
