Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

There has been a big hole left in the roadway of the service alley between Horomatangi St and Heuheu St behind Whitcoulls, by Unison Power, since they fixed a power fault nearly 5 months ago. We have requested that this be filled in but we are still waiting. The hole (and cones and fencing around it)majorly affects the ability for trucks to be able to access my store to deliver as well as the flow of traffic and our ability to access our staff carparks. With Christmas approaching it will only get worse with increased traffic using the alley way. Leaving the hole this long is unbelievable and we would appreciate some assistance to get it filled in.

Officially lodged with TDC 4/12/2012 due to server communication issues. TDC Service Request # 1225343.
Argh, apologies, this has been lodged as TDC Service Request number 1225347.
Request 1225347 closed at TaupoDC. Unison were having troublr locating a fault. This pit was being used to isolate cable sections so as to help locate the fault. The pit has now been back filled to a compacted pumice surface. All barriers have been removed allowing vehicle movement across the area once again. Unison are optimistic this will be repaved prior to Christmas.
