Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

A water main has burst and is now destroying the road surface. There is 3 potholes that have been created by the water streaming under the seal and cars and trucks driving over it. It was mentioned to wellington city council 3 weeks ago and there had been no further work, apart from an inspection. The road surface is so bad that it will cause a puncture in a car wheel. The waste of water is also disturbing as we are in a water restriction
