Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

To keep Rishworth save This Avenue needs 2 speed bumps!! Most cars use it to get off Whangaparaoa road to get to Arkles bay instead of going through town Rishworth is a uphill road from Karepiro Drive There is a blindspot on this road between house nr 17 and accross the road from this house nr 8 & 10 If you want to get out of the driveway you cant see if there is any cars coming from the bottom of the road. Some people come up the road so fast If you get out of your driveway they have to break and normally they hoot at you ;( If children crosses this road between house 11; 13 and 15 Rishworth Ave they also have to cross so fast not nowing if there is a car coming or not this is very unsafe for children too. Cars also go down hill so fast from this road and for children and old people to cross this road I will say is a risk cause they have to cross so fast not nowing if a car will come up or down speeding. It will also help people to get out of their drive-ways more safely without someone hooting at you or have to break so hard you don't know if they will hit you Thank you
Over the last few years as traffic has increased on the Whangaparaoa peninsular, more vehicles are using Arkles Strand as a through road from Arkles Drive. Arkles Strand is a very popular road for children returning home from school and people walking their dogs. Persons driving down Arkles Drive cannot see the exit onto Arkles Strand until the very last minute and there is a walkway and road crossing at the same point the roads meet. Over summer when the beach is busy it is common place to see or here vehicles coming down Arkles Drive to quickly and having to brake heavily to avoid persons crossing or children on the road. Speed bumps at the bottom of Arkles Drive and along Arkles Strand would ensure drivers slow down and avoid any incidents. Thanks
