Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

Liquefaction raised the tarsealed footpath in the February quake. CCC removed all but about 2m of the tarseal and replaced it with gravel. Liquefaction buried the gravel in the June quake. The grassy verge is impossible to mow as the surface is so uneven. The tree has died. The exposed silt creates large amounts of dust which is is a hazard to pedestrians and to health. The path needs to be gravelled, the verges levelled, the silt needs to be replaced with soil and re planted in grass and one kowhai tree. At least 6 houses in this block have similar issues. This was reported to CCC via Civil Defence late June.
