Taking a break...

FixMyStreet is going offline shortly, probably permanently. The software is old and needs a complete rewrite, the site is being bombarded by spammers, and it is debatable whether councils are receiving and/or acting on FixMyStreet reports.

As of now, it is not possible to post new issues, or updates to published issues.

If you have submitted on FixMyStreet, thank you for playing a part in one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's early civic tech projects.

The storm water drain that takes water from Mahuta Rd into the lake is blocked and broken at the lake outlet and it is blocked at the Mahuta Rd end. The entrance to the drain is close to our drive way at 118 Mahuta Rd and every time there is more than 10mm of rain, our section floods. I have noticed the drain further up Mahuta Rd has been fixed, and we would really appreciate it if you could fix this one as well. Thank you.

Updates

Thank you for your enquiry. Request 1118812 has been lodged and assigned to someone at TaupoDC. Future updates to this request will appear on this page.
Request 1118812 updated at TaupoDC. Have done the inspection and have organised for Fulton Hogan to waterblast the line and investigate whether the outlet has been dislocated from the line. If so, would require further works as directed.
Request 1118812 updated at TaupoDC.
Request 1118812 closed at TaupoDC. The line with the silt build up was waterblasted. The water was flowing out of the outlet freely during the process. There seems to be no dislodgment of the pipes. However, have requested contractor to monitor closely during heavy downpour.
