and remember it was the refusal to fix solent street pedestrian crossing that made me think of the dorkland substitute for auckland, when pedestrians never get the “cross now” until there is traffic coming out of solent street and turning right into tamaki drive, it is when the green light phase ends that we can only get the “cross now” sometimes after waiting some time, the other day it was ten minutes. ++++ number 2 ++++ this morning i was walking on the city side of quay street, i could not walk the sea side because it is blocked off to pedestrians and only wheeled traffic escooters & push bikes can use it, as i was walking along a escooter came towards me, i waived my hands in front of my head, so i could tell him to use the other side that is their side and we can not walk there because they have exclusive user rights to it, if they want to use the city side, they can have it , why not give sea side back to pedestrians and make pedestrians use that side, and they would make any pedestrian using the city side giving themselves a safety danger in with escooters, after all thats what we get at the moment., then we also get their escooters parked all over the place, left out from them to do the best to trip us up over it to hospitalize us ++++ number 3 ++++ then i get a bit further past the end of quay street and half way to the two bridges that lift up to let shipping go under it, and what do i get? a cyclist cycling on the footpath when there was no motor powered traffic on the no end street made for road traffic, the ironic thing is there is a picture with a pedestrian with a circle around it and a line going over the pedestrian printed on the road telling pedestrians not to walk on that area, far out where can we pedestrians get safety on the footpath?. ++++ number 4 ++++ it is bad enough we have to walk the city side on quay street, but the worse part of it we have dam strong lights beaming up from the footpath because some handicap person thinks it is kinky to mount them in the footpath, and guess what some idiot working for dorkland city council or dorkland transport do not know where they are “open your eyes” , get out of your office and you will find them, they are on quay street around where les mills fitness center is also on custom street east, on wellesley street east on the same side as albert park and just below the park enterance, also on queen street outside the town hall, it might even be on the other side of the town hall, then there is more along great north road outside a car sales business, near ariki street or turakina street. you have to ask how many home owners place there home lighting in there flooring to beam light up into their home, this is so they do not have to get up on a ladder to replace a light bulb, you have to answer because they are not that stupid to buy a house that has floorboard lighting.
